*NEW* Transitioning your lawn to Bermuda grass Welcome to StonehouseGlen.info. As the name suggests, you will find posted here information about News/Events in the neighborhood, as well as a collection of Stonehouse Glen Newsletters. To help knit the neighborhood together, there is also a Stonehouse Glen Directory. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Beyond those features, you will find on this site archives of Advisory Meeting Minutes and monthly Financial Summaries. For a longer-range perspective on Stonehouse Glen finances, Annual Budgets are also available here for review and historical comparison. But perhaps foremost among the information on the site are the names and other contact information for the administrative committees that help Stonehouse Glen run smoothly and efficiently. The Advisory Committee is the liaison between the community and the developer. When the developer relinquishes ownership of Stonehouse Glen to the homeowners, the members of this committee are expected to replace the developers Board of Directors. Permission for additions or modifications to the exterior of homes in Stonehouse Glen must go through the Architecture Review Committee. You can read about what the committee expects to see in an application in the Architectural Review pages of the site. There, you'll find the Guidelines, which cover some unexpected items such as underground electronic pet-containment fences. For your convenience, the architecture review Application is also posted on the site. Because the application must be accompanied by other information, the form cannot be emailed. It must be printed and mailed to the Committee chair. Three important publications governing our community can be found at Stonehouse Glen Documents: the Bylaws, the Declaration of Protective Covenants and Restrictions, and the Rules. Together, these document explain what is expected from residents in all matters, large and smallfrom parking to grills, from outdoor seasonal decorations to signs in the yard. A guide to the neighborhood can be found at Street Maps. This link leads to a master index of the lots in Stonehouse Glen and, beyond that, to additional pages showing lots in greater detail. In December, 2008, Tom Page of GS Virginia, the Stonehouse developer, showed many of us what the long-anticipated swimming pool and associated clubhouse will look like. Follow the Swim Club link to see some of the illustrations that accompanied Tom's presentation. We all hope that everything runs smoothly in Stonehouse Glen. But because there are a great many things to monitor and only a few officers to keep watch, the Advisory Committee appreciates any help homeowners can offer. Toward that end, here is a Form that you can send to the Advisory Committee with your comments or suggestions. |
